Sub Rosa in the Shoals is a once a month invitational writers' workshop that meets in Aunt Myrt's House, a historic turn-of-the century house in beautiful and historic High Shoals, Georgia. This writers' group/workshop is headed by Kathleen McGuire, a longtime member of author Rosemary Daniel's Atlanta Babes Zona Rosa. Each month members of this group bring an excerpt from a manuscript in progress or a short story, essay poem or other writing. Writers take turns reading their work aloud to the group. Afterwards, the group comments in ways that are intended to help the writer in their revision process.
